NLP Practitioner goes to Tanzania!

I am so excited to share with you all that one of our graduates from our NLP Practitioner course is heading off to Tanzania this September as part of Child Reach International.  Marslie Smits is the first ever Australian to be involved in the international fund raising event and we couldn’t be more proud of her efforts.  Marslie will head to Tanzania where there are inadequate facilities to clean water, toilets and large enough classrooms to accommodate rising numbers of children.  Marslie along with 14 other women will work tirelessly for 10 days to improve the infrastructure of these schools and offer a better learning environment.

Sensational Sex with NLP!

Wow – sensational sex with NLP – now that’s a big claim isn’t it?  Well I don’t think so.  When I work with couples who are experiencing difficulty in their relationships, especially with their sexual incompatibility I use a variety of NLP techniques and hypnosis to help them light their fires, so to speak.

There are three main areas that I focus on to help couples reignite their sex lives.  The first is the individual’s self confidence and belief systems about sex.  I work with each person to teach them how to let go of negative emotions that are standing in their way and show them how to install empowering beliefs about their sex drive and abilities.

Next I focus on each person’s sex strategy.  I bet you didn’t know that everyone has a sex strategy.  A strategy in NLP terms is an order and sequence of internal representations that leads to a particular outcome.  Basically it is what we do in our mind that drives us to get to a specific outcome.

When we first meet that special someone, we do everything we can to fire off their sex strategy and when we get it right – things are rocking!  Over time and as we become more comfortable together, we begin firing off our own sex strategy instead of our partners which results in a mis-match of sexual finesse. 

So what can you do about it?  Well I work with each person to discover what their sex strategy  is, (the steps they do in their mind), then teach it to the other person.  We can alter strategies and install more effective ones if needed and both parties are in agreement.

The third is mis-communication.  Now that is not new to you I’m sure.  How many of you say, ‘my partner doesn’t really ‘hear’ what I’m saying’ or ‘I don’t feel that my partner gets me’.  We all communicate differently.  Some people are more visual, some are more auditory or kinaesthetic (feelings) and some prefer logic and facts and figures.  Once we realise how each person communicates inside their own head, we can use their language when getting our point across, both in and out of the bedroom.

Once you have used the techniques that we teach; your sexual relationship will never be the same again.

Divorce & NLP – how it CAN help

7 months ago my marriage of 16 years ended which, for those of you out there who have experienced this, is pretty devastating to say the least. When something you have known for 16 years ends and everything changes, how do you move forward? What happens to your self esteem, self confidence and self worth? How quickly life changes after a big decision like that…..

I’ve been thinking about sharing with my readers for a while now the techniques I use to keep moving forward and focusing on what I want. This is what helped me….

1. Confidence is an emotional feeling and we are in control of our feelings. All too often we let others tell us how to feel, how to act and what to say and do. You can control your state from moment to moment. If you haven’t read my blog on ‘Circle of Excellence’ then log onto my website and see my previous blog on how to control your state. Then take action and follow the steps outlined in the blog.  You will be feeling more confident in no time!

2. There are two sides to the life equation – cause side and the effect side. People on the effect side blame everything and everyone else for not having their life as they would like it. Those on the cause side ask themselves, how have I contributed to this and what can I do to change my reaction to it even if I can’t change the outcome? Being on the cause side means that you are in control and can change any feeling or behaviour you want. I absolutely know what role I played in the demise of my marriage and I now have some significant learning stored away that enables me to feel a sense of power again in my own life. Check out my blog on ‘Cause and Effect’ then put it into practice. Even if you just ‘pretend’ you are at cause as if it is only a game – it will still work!

3. Clean out your negative emotions! I assume you all clean your house or your car from time to time so what about your own mind? The thoughts you hold in your mind affect your body. Just think about something you are angry about and notice the feelings you get inside your body!  This isn’t healthy and takes you away from what it is you really want. Of course there are many other techniques that I use to keep me feeling that I am worth it and I do deserve to be happy and whole. I’m so excited about my future because now I can help other people, both men and women, to regain their spirit and their power after divorce.

NLP & 2010 – what’s really ahead?

So it is a fresh new year and for some a fresh new start.  A time to say ‘goodbye’ to the old ways of 2009 and to create a new you in 2010.  As I sit here on my computer (not literally of course), I’m wondering how many of you actually ‘clear’ out all the emotional baggage from the previous year.  You know, all those things that hold you back from having your life exactly the way you want it.  Such as, negative emotions, doubts about your abilities, lack of self confidence, fears, bad habits etc. 

How many of you carry that emotional baggage with you year in and year out?  Pushing issues that you don’t want to deal with to the back of your mind, only to find them reappear at the most inappropriate moments.  Then you start a new year with the best of intentions and set resolutions for the year ahead, only to feel bitterly disappointed when you don’t achieve them.

Why not let go of that emotional baggage once and for all?

Imagine if you were travelling with a suitcase full of stuff and issues you don’t want.  It is heavy, it wears you down and prevents you from moving as fast as you would like.  It prevents you from doing all the fun and exciting activities you really want to do because you are carrying this bulky suitcase with you.  Would you continue on your journey like this?  No of course you wouldn’t.  You would soon find a way to chuck out all the stuff you don’t want and probably buy a backpack and only carry those things that you really need and want.

So what’s the difference?

When you think about it logically – there is little difference.  Just like off loading contents from a suitcase you don’t need, you can easily let go of emotional issues that have been holding you back.  How?

The Secret to Feeling Fabulous Everyday

Is it really possible to feel fabulous everyday?  Absolutely! 

So what is it I do exactly?

Well big picture – imagine you wanted a new bathroom, what’s the first thing you would do?  That’s right – you would take out all the old fittings.  Well that is what I do – I help you to resolve all those horrible past issues and emotions quickly and easily, so you can reach your true potential and live a fabulous life.

I regularly see people who suffer from anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorders, anger management, stress management, phobias and children with ADHD.  In fact there are so many different issues that these techniques can help.

After you explain your problem either in person or over the phone, I ask a series of specific questions to discover the core underlying issues.  I then teach you the techniques to release those issues. We then test and make sure the problem’s gone.

There is now a lot of research in the area of psycho-neuro-immunology, which demonstrates that holding on to negative emotions adversely affects your health.  When people realise this they want to let go old emotional baggage now and start living again.

This is a very fast process, for example, a phobia normally takes less than an hour.  Anger management issues can take between one to two hours.  A personal break-through session covering all aspects of life can take 8 to 10 hours.  So it is really quick and the changes are amazing.

Speed Networking with NLP!

A number of my colleagues and friends have been going to ‘speed networking as a way of quickly ‘sifting’ through potential customers to see if they can find the ‘one’ that might make the difference to their business life.

As an NLP Practitioner and Trainer, they asked me for some advice to make their time at speed networking more efficient.

This is what I had to offer on the subject:

You need to build rapport as quickly as possible.   Sounds simple?  Then why aren’t people doing it as quickly as a person trained in NLP can?

So what is rapport?

People do business with people they like….

Rapport is a process of responsiveness.  It means that if you are ‘like’ another person, they are more likely to ‘like’ you.  Have you ever been to a party and within minutes of meeting someone they say, ‘wow I feel like I’ve known you forever!’ Well that is an indication you are in rapport.

How do you get it?

You need to covertly match and mirror the person’s body language, breathing, tone of voice and if possible using similar words to them.  Do they speak quickly or more slowly?  If you match what they are doing, they will see something in you that is like them. 

And I mean covertly!

I often hear people referring to rapport in NLP as ‘mimicking’ and it is certainly not that.  If you mimic someone you will lose rapport and end up achieving nothing out of your speed networking experience.

Do you have doubts about your future?

Do you have doubts about your ability to achieve what you want in your career?

Doubts are basically limiting beliefs that we create that result in limiting ourselves and therefore our results.  The good news is that we are in control of whether we doubt ourselves or whether we believe in ourselves.  What isn’t immediately obvious is that seconds before we felt that doubt we actually made an unconscious decision to doubt the very thing we most want. 

What’s great about that is we can do something about it.  Using the process of Time Line Therapy™ we can easily adopt new resourceful beliefs that can help us achieve what we want out of our lives.

Think about this ….  Once upon a time you were 12 years old and you believed you were a 12 year old.  Now that you are no longer 12 years old, where is that belief?  That’s right – it no longer exists.  So beliefs are changeable from moment to moment.  I used to believe I couldn’t drive a car until I got my licence and now I believe I can.
